      Sous Chef
      Working closely with the Head Chef you will have great input into the creation, planning and production of excellent quality British Country House cuisine for all the Hotel’s F&B outlets, which include our Tower Restaurant, tea rooms and all other banqueting requirements.
      Job Description

      General Duties

      • Working alongside the Head Chef, creative menu planning, costing and purchasing.
      • Managing the Kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
      • Confidently lead service, with the ability to cover all sections when required.
      • Preparation and presentation of a variety of high quality, fresh food, ensuring consistently high culinary standards.
      • Training and development of team members.
      • Maintaining and recording a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

      Skills / Experience

      • Hands-on Sous, Junior Sous, Senior CDP experience.
      • Strong leadership skills.
      • Excellent communication and customer service.
      • Organised and motivated Hours of work
      • The role is full time working 5 days out of 7 (including weekends and bank holidays) as part of a rota.
      • Shift Patterns: With the exception of the Breakfast Chef. The team generally come in at 10.30 am. We have an afternoon break rotation from 3pm, with dinner service beginning at 5pm until finish. Last orders are taken at 8.30 /9pm. When section cover is not required there is a later start of 1pm – finish.

        HR Administrator
        Part time (16-24 hours per week)
        We are hiring a HR Administrator to focus mainly on human resources administration and recruitment and to provide general HR support to departmental managers.
        Job Description

        With approximately 70 staff, this is a varied and busy role with the primary focus on recruitment; finding and retaining talented individuals, sourcing for all departments, by effectively managing various recruitment channels such as Indeed, Linked-in and social media, as well as building relationships with local schools’ careers officers, job centres and training providers.

        This role also provides key support in the delivery of a broad range of tasks across the HR function, ensuring legal compliance and a high standard of organisational & administrative support.

        What you’ll need:

        • Strong planning, administrative and organisational skills.
        • Good communication skills written and verbal with the ability to talk to people at all levels of the business.
        • Highly organised, confident, and enthusiastic.
        • A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
        • Previous recruitment / talent acquisition experience.
        • HR knowledge and employment law experience would be an advantage.
        • Strong IT skills and experience of working on social media platforms.
