A real local…since 1890
Real ale, real people, real craic.
The Tavern began life as ‘The Tap Room’ in 1890 and has been a centre of village life ever since.
It serves local ales such as Station Bitter and "Montys" as well as some refreshing local ciders.
It's “the local” for the locals as well as a popular watering hole for walkers, hikers, cyclists and motorists alike; and those who like to just mosey around the Lake. Don't forget mans best friend - dogs are welcome too!
The tavern has an identity all of its own: It doesn't feel like a bar in a luxury four-star hotel. It looks like a pub, it feels like a pub and it serves lovely Welsh and Borderland real ales.
